The first part of this project was to brainstorm everyday activities and common occurrences. After getting ideas, we had to outline 3-7 steps onto index cards to create a storyboard. The index cards were to shuffle and get new sequence ideas.
Next was to sketch the ideas showing PoV and scope, along with notes about imagery, style, camera movement, subject movement, and transition.
Last was to put the video together!
Artist Statement: The video documents the creation of my final piece, while also exploring the broader process of making art. Beginning with a glimpse of the finished work alongside others, it reveals the materials and steps involved in the creations. Wind plays a central role, transitioning from the subtle movement of the leaves to the forceful gusts on flags, symbolizing the peacefulness of artmaking interwind with natural occurrences.
